UNO2 Waterproofing Kit
AquaeSEAL Waterproof Sealing KITS include the key components needed to waterproof a bathroom. The combined use of a ‘ready to use’, waterproof synthetic polymer membrane (AquaeSEAL RP) & a Joint Sealing Tape (AquaeSEAL FLEXI JST) to protect vulnerable substrates & bridge joints, results in a perfect waterproof finish, ready for adhesive & tiles.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
RP Description: an elastic, ready to use synthetic membrane offering an excellent key for tiles & adhesive, used to protect dry building substrates under ceramic tiles. Has the following characteristics:

- Drip-free, creamy consistency

- JST Description: White Polyester Tape with a Grey central Elastomer Coating used to bridge cracks or joints, & Pre-fabricated corners & collars cover awkward shapes.
APPLICATIONS
AquaeSEAL KITS combine two effective components, to result in a complete waterproofing solution.
Two standard sizes are available. UNO2 & MEDIO2. The components are:
AquaeSEAL RP Waterproof Sealant’ is a light-coloured, semi-solid, ready to use, highly elastic membrane sealant that can be applied by brush, roller or trowel. Designed to act as a resilient waterproofing material, it is extremely flexible & dries quickly, allowing tiles & adhesive to be applied directly on top.
AquaeSEAL FLEXI JST is a Polyester mesh with integral central band of ‘elastomer’ sealing material. Supplied in 5m or 10m Rolls, & also includes a factory pre-fabricated internal corner, for a more secure installation
UNO2 & MEDIO2 Kits are suitable for :
- WET ROOM Installation, acting as a waterproof ‘tanking’ membrane, for FLOOR & WALLS
- ALL SHOWER Installations, with a Tile finish to the walls
- Bathrooms where the floor or wall are at a higher risk of water ingress due to splashing
- Refurbishments & New Build Projects
- Small Bathrooms or En-Suites, with a confined area resulting in wet surfaces after a shower
- New Build or Refurbishment Projects
- Blockwork, brickwork, scratch coat render, ply-wood, plasterboard* etc.
- Concrete or Board over Wooden Joist floor constructions

LAYING TILES
Ceramic tiles can be directly laid onto AquaeSEAL RP by using the thin-bed method.
GROUTING
Ceramic coverings are ready for grouting 24 hours later, allowing for a drying period. The grouting of earthenware tiles is done with water-repellent, flexible grout, while for non-absorbent tiles a flexible universal grout is recommended.
* NB – We do not recommend the use of Plaster or Plasterboard products within higher risk waterprone areas.
